As the clock ticks on, the spooky season closes in fast. And as a celebrator and participant in the night of tricks and treats, my time is coming up fast to get my outfit together for the big night.

Whether it’s costume parties, scavenging for candy or heading to a big event like a haunted house, dressing up for the big night can be hard to coordinate. If you’re like me, it is also something that becomes the bottom priority on the list and is left sitting under piles of homework until the week of. Bridgeland students during this school year also have to juggle around homecoming to get things together, so a one-stop-shop is a quick way to knock the shopping off of the list while still having freedom to explore every option of spooky style.

I’ve pulled this same trick (not treat) for the last two years; my costume’s nothing more than a single trip to a store for a hat or onesie. However, this year I’ve been more focused on finding an actual costume like I used to in my freshman year and before returning to my roots of Halloween hunting.

Here are some of my top picks for Halloween marketplaces that will surely deliver all the spooky delights right before the frightful day.

Spirit Halloween

The go-to store for any and all things Halloween, Spirit Halloween is always the best choice for finding good costumes last minute. From decorations, to masks and to parts of costumes alike, there are so many possibilities and combinations to be explored at Spirit Halloween. The only issue one could face with this store could be that it has been picked through toward the end of the season, but other than that, it has all a person would need to get ready for the big, spooky night.

Party City

Party City’s infamous wall of costumes is also something to consider when shopping around for Halloween attire. Its proximity is also favorable for the Fairfield students, within a mile or two of most of its homes. Party City has less than Spirit Halloween in terms of sheer accessories and ways to mix and match outfits, but its collection is nothing to scoff at. There are plenty of choices and options to pick through at Party City, so it shouldn’t be written off too quickly.

Amazon

When it comes down to a time crunch, Amazon has always been a friend. Especially for anybody with Amazon Prime, when there is a crunch for time and there are only days before an event, Amazon will get it done. Amazon does still deliver on Halloween for any seriously last minute decisions. Also, another plus of using the delivery site is that the choices are almost endless. Any costume can be bought in full or parts and can be assembled in the cart. As a whole, Amazon serves as another great contender for costumes when in a pinch.

In the end, all it takes is a quick trip to the local Halloween shop to get everything needed to make for a great holiday. Especially now that shopping and shipping can come from the luxury of the home, Halloween shopping can become a piece of cake (or candy).
